Wheelchair Basketball

Wheelchair Basketball is one of the most popular sports at the Paralympics, which is played the world over by the disabled and able-bodied alike.

The sport will be introduced to the Heathcote Community Games for this first time in 2016 and Fazzi is looking forward to welcoming the Bendigo Gold Wheelchair Basketball team to town, which will provide a demonstration game before offering basketball enthusiasts of all ages and abilities to try the sport for themselves.

The Bendigo Wheelchair Basketball Program is a modified basketball program running on Thursday nights in Bendigo that anyone is welcome to attend. There are wheelchairs available for players to jump in and have a go, and it is a great way to meet new people, get some exercise and have some fun.
